Recognition of the fact that humans are surrounded by an aura dates back millennia - Christian saints are of course traditionally shown with a halo around the head, the ancient Egyptians did the same for their gods or important human beings as did the Hindus, Buddhists, Greeks and Romans. And these beliefs continue right up to this present day.

The aura is generally recognised as having seven layer. Most psychics only see the first three - those closest to the physical body. The other auric layers are concerned with the soul and spirit whereas the inner auric layer relate to mind, emotions and health.

The aura is shaped like an egg made of fibrous light surrounding the whole of the body. To some, it is like a heat haze radiating all around the person shimmering with light and erergy. It has every colour imaginable including those that are beyound the visible spectrum.

Exercises to see Aura's:

Have somone wear a black or white shirt and stand in front of a large white area. Do not focus on them as much as you will focus on the areas around them about a foot away.

Take time at night when the lights are out to focus on your hands. You should see the with a slight glow. This is a great way to work with energy. It is your aura that you are seeing.

Look at plants and trees. They are also living creatures and they can glow a large aura above them.


CROWN (7th)
Here the human being connects with the Universe. The totality of a person, as combined from the other Chakras offers itself to the Divine forces of the Universe. The individual experiences knowledge beyond words or intellect, interfacing with cosmic energies and pure consciousness.

THIRD EYE (6th)
This Chakra enables the recognition of "Being". Connects to the part of creation which is beyond science and physical manifestation. Through this Chakra the "knowing" of spiritual matters is passed down and so influences all other parts of an individual.

THROAT (5th)
Here feelings and emotions are transformed into expressions such as laughter or crying. Deals with everything related to sound on both the physical and the metaphysical level. Communicates and mediates all emotions and feelings. Provided space from "Self" to enable "inner" reflection.

Light Blue, Cyan

Between inner Collarbone


HEART (4th)
The center of the Chakra system. Here aesthetic impulses (art or music) are processed into feelings and emotions. The ability to love freely, without fear or self-consciousness, is generated here. Negative feelings and emotions are neutralized. Healing by acceptance of suffering.

SOLAR PLEXUS (3rd)
Position in the center of the body gives this Chakra its significance. Impulses coming from above. This is where the personality is formed, "Feeling" and "Being" are integrated. This is the melting pot of spiritual and earthly aspects.

LOWER ABDOMEN (2nd)
Center for sexual energy, creativity and pure emotions. Here the male sexual drive combines with the female sexual response. Feelings and emotions flow freely thought regulating the relationship between lovers and friends. Balances the free giving and receiving of feelings and emotions.

Orange

LOCATION:
Naval area


ROOT (1st)
Links the individual with the physical world. Defines the concept of "Being" and "Accepting Being". Serves as the foundation to evolve and build the personality. Embraces aspects such as energy, self-expression, ambition, consistency, desire for security and the survival of self and species.
